Who set off that false alarm
With your mother black eyed and you fake another smile
Who pulled you from the poverty line
Did they place you in time for abusive lines
When you’re angrier know your
Generation burnt out long ago
Those judgement eyes will take a dive
Into your pocket book for your deadbeat friend
I’ll drink to that narcotic fire
You’re an endless joke with no punchline
When it sinks in your lungs
A pity party parades for everyone
They fed you a suburban pill
Now you gave up and you think I’m ill
There’s no shame in hobby lobby isles
And Home Depot fixed your restless smile
So get off my lawn
I’ll never feel that bad for anyone
Who took you from mothers arms
Did you forgive yourself for being alone
They can’t rob you of your insanity
Or your puncture wounds from nightly TV
So you think real slow
Does anybody body care for anyone?

You know that feeling you get when you’ve lost something you didn’t know you lost but you know you are looking for ? And know with even further affirmation it was lost and you were in deed looking because you finally recognize it when you found it ? Every time I see the word “COPE” I think of how there’s no irony that I think of this voice, lyrics and music that helped me do just that. It’s so many heavenly things. Please let this be the voice I hear on my final journey to meet my ma room_237
